Your voice fingerprint is how ColdCheck learns to write like you. It captures your writing patterns - how long your sentences are, what words you prefer, your level of formality, whether you use humor - without storing the actual text of your messages.
When you first sign up, ColdCheck guides you through voice training:
Welcome Screen: You'll see an overview of what to expect (takes about 2 minutes)
Provide Samples: Paste 3-5 emails you've previously written
Done: Your voice fingerprint is created automatically
Do provide:
Emails you've actually sent (not templates)
Messages that represent how you normally write
A mix of different types (introductions, follow-ups, requests)
Messages at least 50 characters long
Avoid:
One-word replies like "Thanks!" or "Sure"
Heavily templated messages
Messages written by someone else
Have an email thread handy? Use Thread Import to extract just your messages:
Toggle on "Import from thread"
Enter your email address
Paste the full email thread
ColdCheck automatically extracts only your messages
Review and save
You can always add more samples from the Voice Fingerprint tab in your dashboard:
Click "Voice Fingerprint" in the sidebar
Scroll to "Add Voice Sample"
Paste your message and optionally add context
Click "Add Sample"
The more samples you provide, the better ColdCheck matches your voice.
From the Voice Fingerprint tab, you can:
See all your samples in a grid view
Click any sample to view the full text
Delete samples that no longer represent your style
See your voice confidence score
